The 2022 financial year was another eventful year for Northcott.

As a business delivering essential services to children and adults with disability and their families, the COVID-19 pandemic continued to impact heavily on our operations. Although we faced workforce shortages and service delivery disruptions, our commitment to supporting customers based on their choices did not diminish. The hard work of our staff paid off with 72% of respondents in our customer survey reporting they felt supported by Northcott during the lockdown period.

This financial year was a big one for new collaborations. In June, we announced that Queensland-based provider Montrose Therapy and Respite would become part of Northcott. Additionally, we welcomed new projects with housing developers Good Housing and DPN Case Capace, a partnership with inclusive fitness company WeFlex, and a project with Citi Foundation through their global Pathways to Progress program – to name a few significant collaborations.

During the year we were excited to launch our new Strategic Plan which provides guidance for our Board, Executive and staff to continue making a positive impact for children and adults with disability. We also took the next step in our journey towards becoming a more accessible and inclusive workplace with the launch of our Disability Access and Inclusion Action Plan. To support building a stronger Northcott, we also began the transformation of our digital systems to enhance service delivery and improve productivity and efficiency across the business.

All these achievements would not be possible without Northcott’s dedicated community – including our Board members, Executive, corporate staff, frontline workers, volunteers, corporate partners, donors and community supporters. Thanks to you all, Northcott is empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.

Through the stories and videos in this report, as well as our highlights, we showcase our 2021-22 year and how the efforts and hard work of our staff have positively impacted the lives of the children and adults with disability we support.
